Peterson Stark Scott is proud to congratulate senior counsel Jalal A. Jaffer, QC on his recent appointment as Queens Counsel, an honorary title given to lawyers by the Government of BC on the recommendation of the Attorney General to recognize exceptional merit, contribution to the legal profession and service to the community. Nominations for the QC designation are put forth from other members of the legal profession who acknowledge the candidate as leading counsel. These nominations are then reviewed by Chief Justices and other key figures in the legal profession.

Jalal has been with Peterson Stark Scott for over 35 years developing a reputation for excellence in the fields of civil litigation, commercial and residential real estate, corporate law and wills and estates. He has dealt with disputes at all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as internationally, serving on the Ismaili International Conciliation and Arbitration Board. A recent victory for Jalal was at the Court of Appeal for British Columbia where he and co-counsel Brendan W. Brock succeeded in dismissing an appeal from a Supreme Court of British Columbia case which concerned a residential property dispute. PSS is proud to have such an exceptional counsel on our team as Jalal and we commend him on his well-deserved QC appointment.
